In 2004 the festival began in Dobrogea and it aims to gather together in a celebration of song, dance and folk costumes, artists from around the world.
Festival is held in Constanta County in the following locations: EFORIE - MANGALIA - ALBESTI. Attendance is based on official invitation received from the organizers, following selection of offers coming from the different ensembles and folk groups from around the world. Over time folk festival guests were from Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, and others.
Through song, dance and folk art performances, the festival promotes the beauty, uniqueness of every nation, in the context of globalization and socio-cultural identity preservation. Cultural exchanges and ideas contribute greatly to human knowledge, to strengthen friendship and enriching the spiritual horizon of the participants.
The Local Councils and Town Halls, Houses of Culture and Cultural Centers across the country bring their contribution to the success of the event. Along with folk goups from abroad, the festival gathers singers and dance groups, artistic ensembles throughout the country, the Romanian folk beauty being appreciated at its true value of the festival guests.
Since 2004, when they founded the artistic events with national character, every year the festival has grown in value, imposing the cultural and artistic life of the Constanta County and the country. Spectacular parade of folk costumes, folk performances produced on the county scenes, meetings between different cultures messengers, competitive spirit, high professionalism, knowledge of traditions and customs of various peoples are part of the magic atmosphere of great joy of the song and dance, under the sign of cooperation and friendship.
Participants in this event have the opportunity during the festival to visit the cities of Constanta county and its municipalities, with its attractions, but also with the proverbial hospitality of its inhabitants.
